It scents your sauna with essential oils, gently and continuously. You hang the stainless steel bowl over your heater, from its cedar wall bracket, fill it with water and a few drops of oil, and the sauna heat lifts the aroma into the air as you sit. No constant ladling required.

Pouring neat essential oil directly onto hot stones is a known flare-up risk and can scorch the oil into a harsh, acrid smell. The bowl holds the oil in water, away from the stones, so the scent releases slowly and evenly instead of flashing off in one burst.

You mount the cedar bracket to your sauna wall with the included screws, then hang the bowl from its chain. Position it where warm air circulates, near the heater but not pressed against it. It needs a patch of wall space, not a spot on the stones themselves.

Empty the bowl after every session and wipe it dry. Oils left sitting go stagnant and taint the next scent. To change scents, rinse with warm water and a little mild soap, dry, then refill. Stainless steel does not hold odor the way porous materials do.

Stainless steel handles sauna humidity without rusting under normal use. You may see a faint heat tint or water spotting over time, which is cosmetic, not corrosion, and wipes back with a stainless cleaner. Avoid harsh acids or abrasive pads, which can dull or pit the surface.
