How to Clean a Sauna

STEP 1 - DILUTE

Fill a bucket with 1 gallon of warm water and add 2 to 3 capfuls of Sauna Cleaner.

STEP 2 - WIPE

With the heater off and the wood cool, wipe the benches, backrests, walls and floors. Let it sit about 60 seconds on stubborn spots. Do not apply cleaner to the heater or the sauna stones.

Wipe with a damp cloth and let everything air dry fully before you heat the sauna again.

Can I use it on an infrared sauna?

Yes, on the wood surfaces. Keep it off the heaters, emitters and any electronics, and wipe with a damp, well-wrung cloth.

Is it safe for cedar and all sauna wood?

Yes. It is suitable for all sauna wood, including cedar, hemlock and aspen, on benches, backrests, walls and floors.

Do I need to rinse, and can I heat the sauna right after?

Wipe with a damp cloth after cleaning and let the wood air dry fully before you heat it. Do not over-soak the wood.

How often should I clean my sauna?

Wipe the benches after each use, and do a fuller clean weekly if you use the sauna often, monthly if now and then.
